Here be Dragons! -- This Herbal Salve is made from fresh, ethically wild-harvested pitch of Piñon Pine in a Base of Organic Olive Oil with a touch of Organic Jojoba Oil -- accented with Essential and Fragrance Oils -- and Real Dragon's Blood Resin (Daemonorops draco).

Pinon Pine (Pinus edulis) -- Not only does it smell lovely, but Piñon Pine Pitch has been used by Native Americans for generations to heal and soothe the skin -- It has be used externally on scrapes, sores, minor burns, bug bites, Eczema, diaper rash, for arthritis relief, and to draw out splinters and other foreign objects. Piñon Pines (Pinus edulis) grow only in the Southwestern United States and Mexico. The pitch we use is self-collected in the Mountains of New Mexico while rock-hounding. No Trees were harmed in the collecting of this Pitch.

Dragon's Blood Resin (Daemonorops draco) -- From Sumatra, Dragon's Blood is a deep red resin from the Daemonorops draco tree. Spiritually, Dragon's Blood is used to boost spell-work, and is considered a powerful protection resin used to drive away 'evil' and negativity. In Hoodoo and Southern Conjure, there is a dual belief that Dragon’s blood brings luck in money and love as well as wards off evil.

This salve makes an excellent moisturizer for dry skin and is popular with both men and women because of its unique scent. -- In addition to being used as a healing salve for minor skin complaints, this salve can be worn as a natural solid perfume on pulse points and/or as a mustache/beard/hair conditioner.

It's base is made from 100% organic ingredients and handcrafted with care. This product is available in a 1 oz. screw top tin for easy access. Please be aware that with anything handmade with no preservatives there may be slight color and texture variations. Below I have listed the ingredients in this salve.

Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Wildcrafted Piñon Pine Pitch, Local Organic Jojoba Oil, Local Beeswax, a proprietary blend of Essential and Fragrance Oils and Crushed Dragon's Blood Resin.

Directions: With clean hands apply a small amount of salve to yourself, someone else or to ceremonial or ritual items (such as candles). For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes. Piñon Resin Salve is not meant to be a replacement for medical attention if/when necessary. As with any product, in the rare case that irritation occurs, please discontinue use.

* Due to the ingredients of the salve, please do not leave in hot conditions or in the direct sun. If shipped during the summer months, the salve will be shipped in a plastic bag due to possible melting. If the salve melts, just place it in a cool area and it will solidify again - this will NOT change the healing properties of the salve. I carry mine in my rock-hounding/survival-pack and purse in a plastic bag just in case.
