These Wire-Wrapped Natural Selenite Pendants come alone or on your Choice of Necklace Chain Length of 18-inches, 24-inches or 35-inches. Each Selenite is Unique because the stones used are all natural and not man-made. Each Selenite Point is at least 30mm (over 1-inch) long to over 35mm long x 10mm to 12mm wide. Overall they measure approximately 1-1/2" to over 2". Silver plated; necklace chain has a Lobster Clasp Closure. SELENITE - Selenite is named for Selene, Greek Goddess of the Moon because of its moon-like glow. The word Selenite comes from the Greek 'selenites', meaning moon stone or moon rock, with the root word 'Selene' meaning Moon. The mineral Selenite is the near transparent and colourless crystal form of Gypsum that exudes a pearly lustre which glows and can very much resemble the moon. Selenite is formed through the evaporation of salt water from the ancient seas. Its essence as salt resonates with our own salt water bodies in the most primal fashion. It resonates with all human beings. Selenite is striated (the long fibrous lines running along the length of the crystal) and channels high energy through the crystal from the sun and other sources of light. It is Great for use with Angelic Beings and is a Calming Stone which makes it great for Meditation as well. It also has a strong connection to the Crown Chakra, and is widely used as an Aura Cleanser.
