Natural Alligator Jasper - Alligator Skin Jasper is a natural gemstone from South Africa - the deposit's founder named this Kambaba form Alligator Skin Jasper to distinguish from Crocodile Jasper from Madagascar. Beautifully patterned in shades of green and grey-green. We received quite the education from one of the stone's founders at the Tucson Gem Show. Due to reactions by the elements, the outer section of this gem stone material is naturally more green in color, whereas the inner heart is more grey-green in color. Fascinating!
