Howlite is made up of hydrous calcium borate and is usually opaque white in color with grey, black, or brown veining that looks much like a spider web. It's often dyed green or blue to resemble Turquoise. Howlite was discovered near Windsor, Nova Scotia in 1868 and named after Henry How, a Canadian chemist, geologist, and mineralogist.
Metaphysically, Howlite is considered a Calming Stone used when needing to reduce anxiety, tensions and stress. Howlite
can also be used to facilitate awareness, encourage emotional expression and assist in the elimination of pain, stress and/or rage. Chakra : Crown.
