Coquina has excellent, natural color and very interesting patterns. It is a sedimentary rock that is composed almost entirely of fossilized coral and the shells of molluscs, trilobites, brachiopods, or other invertebrates and calcite. The word 'coquina' comes from the Spanish word for cockle and shellfish.
Metaphysically, Coquina, due to it's ancient marine composition, is considered a record-keeper stone assisting one to access the Akashic Record. Coquina Jasper is often used to help one with past-life recall and/or assist one in contacting angelic beings. Chakras : Solar Plexus, 3rd Eye
