“Apache Warpaint” (also called : Desert Rose Dolomite) is a Dolomite Jasper from Morenci, AZ with yellow, orange, and red tones - naturally colored by iron and copper. Many pieces also have interesting manganese dendrites. Dolomite is a sedimentary carbonate rock that is both a mineral and a rock. It is named for the French mineralogist, Deodat de Dolomieu. Dolomite a good beginners stone as it's fairly soft, but easily takes a lovely polish.

Metaphysically Dolomite is said to be good for relieving depression or sorrow, helping one to detach from 'drama'.
