Lemongrass essential oil is distilled from the leaves of the plant
Cymbopogon citratus -- A rampantly growing perennial. Lemongrass
is closely related to Citronella and Palmarosa.
Traditional Indian medicine has used Lemongrass Essential Oil
to treat infectious illness and fever.
Aromatherapeutic Uses: Acne, athlete's foot, excessive perspiration,
flatulence, insect repellent, muscle aches, oily skin, scabies,
stress, cellulite, hydrolipid retention, tonifying astringent
- cleansing to oily skin, blackheads, tightens pores and facial
muscles. Use in hair care formulations as it adds shine and lustre
to dull hair.
