Camphor essential oil comes from a tall, handsome, evergreen tree
growing up to 30 meters high with many branches bearing clusters
of small white flowers followed by red berries. Camphor was a
well known remedy against the plague in Persia (now Iran) and
was also used in embalming. The Chinese used camphor to build
ships and temples, because of the durable and aromatic properties
of the wood
Camphor has a strong, penetrating, fragrant odour, and is slightly
cold to the touch like menthol leaves; locally it can be an irritant,
numbing the peripheral sensory nerves, and is slightly antiseptic.
Camphor oil is often used in the treatment of nervous depression,
acne, inflammation, arthritis, muscular aches and pains, sprains,
rheumatism, bronchitis, coughs, colds, fever, flu and infectious
diseases.
In magick, Camphor Oil is related to the Moon, Divination, Prophetic
