Method of Extraction - Vacuum distilled
Country of Origin - El Salvador
Peru Balsam essential oil is used as a fixative and fragrance
component in soaps, detergents, creams, lotions and perfumes.
It stimulates the heart, increases blood presure, and lessons
mucus secretions. Useful for respiratory disorders such as asthma
chronic coughs and bronchitis. Also used in scabies and skin diseases.
It is sometimes applied externally to sore nipples and discharges
from the ear.
Cautions - Best avoided if hypertensive (have high blood pressure).
Aromatherapeutic Properties - Stimulant, expectorant, parasiticide;
used for asthma, bronchitis; relieving nervous tension, stress,
rashes, eczema.
