He set his animals upon her and she called for protection. Diana turned her into a pure white gem to save her. Feeling shame Bacchus poured wine upon her, turning the lovely maiden, Amethyst, a beautiful violet purple. Western Astrology associates Amethyst with Aquarius. To Eastern Astrology it is considered a secondary gem of Saturn (ruling Capricorn and Aquarius). Amethyst is an important gemstone in opening the 6th Chakra, or 3rd Eye. Shimmering amethyst is stunning with garnet, rock crystal and pearls. Our luscious amethyst beads are lovely A to A/B Grade.
